Day-to-day life in Cedar Mill, OR

Alright, I'm single, late 30s, and With a population of 19,482, Cedar Mill is a small town. It's a a small town city with about 19,482 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What are your go-to spots? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

I'm a contractor and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

Came here for work and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The safety is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Strong job market in several industries
- The safety scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely better than expected and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Eastside) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Austin, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
