I'm originally from Nashville and The median home value here is around $177,100, which is actually reasonable. It's a a mid-size city city with about 137K people. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I overthinking this? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development.
