First time home buyer in Celebration

Hey folks, Been living here since 2022. It's a a small town city with about 13,150 people. Homes are going for about $613,000 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Thoughts? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 6 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Meadowbrook. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
