Is Centennial a good place to retire?

My wife and I are planning to retire in the next few years. We're considering Centennial because of the outdoor activities. Weather is moderate — about 49F average.

Cost of living looks pretty reasonable. How's the healthcare situation? Any retiree communities?

Great post! One thing I'd mention is check out the local Facebook groups for neighborhood info. Makes a big difference.

Check out the Pine Grove area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

I've lived in Maple Heights for 7 years and it's still one of the best decisions I made.

Totally agree with this. I've been here 13 years and my experience is very similar.

I'd add that the parks here are amazing for families. Otherwise spot on!

For families, I'd recommend looking at Old Town. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

Rent tip: look for places in January-February. Prices drop and there's more availability.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

Good summary. I'd rate it higher personally — maybe 6/10.

Coming from San Francisco, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are slightly more expensive but housing makes up for it.
