Anyone else love living in Center Point?

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a teacher here and With a population of 16,125, Center Point is a small town. Homes are going for about $130,200 on average. The median home value here is around $130,200, which is actually reasonable. Crime rate is something to consider -Center Point sits at 607.1 per 100K. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a nurse, 54, moved here 14 years ago from San Francisco. I've lived in Maple Ridge and Springfield, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Nice parks and green spaces
3. Close to major attractions
4. The people are generally underrated - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Winters are long and cold
2. Nightlife is limited
3. The pet-friendliness situation is reasonable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Maple Ridge: Great for remote workers. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- Springfield: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from San Francisco, everything felt surprisingly good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $70K-$150K here.

**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
