Best companies to work for in Centereach?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We have two kids and Median household income is $127,106, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Would love some local perspective.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely tough and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (West) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from LA, be prepared for the culture shock. school system is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely better than expected and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.
