Things that make Centereach unique

Alright, Been living here since 2018. The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 31,501 people. Poverty rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What do you all think? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 6 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
