I'm retired and You can expect to pay around $1,436 for rent here. Average temperature is around 59--F, so the weather is moderate. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Has anyone dealt with this? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
