Cost of living reality check -Centerton

Rent is about $1,436/month for a decent place. Median household income is $112,920, which feels pretty solid for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I wrong here? The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in East. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in government. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Thai.

No regrets on my end..
