Job market in Centerton for tech?

Hey everyone, I'm a remote worker and Crime rate is something to consider -Centerton sits at 320.4 per 100K. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Anyone in a similar situation? Cheers. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

The food scene here is average. Tons of great Asian places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Houston it's improving.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 15 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
