Living in Central City -the reality

Hello, I'm retired and Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $140,700 on average. The median home value here is around $140,700, which is actually reasonable. It's a a small town city with about 5,736 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Am I overthinking this? The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Used to live on the Midtown side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

I'm a chef and I've found the quality of life is solid. The community is improving and there's always something going on.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.
