What to expect moving to Central?
Hey folks, I'm originally from Houston and Thoughts? Cheers. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a HR manager who relocated here from San Francisco about 6 years ago. The main reasons were school and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is excellent.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. No regrets on my end..
