Planning a move to Centre Hall -neighborhoods?

OK so Poverty rate is 6.6%, which is pretty low. What would you do? Cheers.

I'm a data analyst and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community is hit or miss and there's always something going on.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 5 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 7 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is improving.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Midtown. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in finance. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely average and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
