Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Raleigh about 6 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is average.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Used to live on the Lakewood side, now on the Maple Ridge side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.
