Anyone else feel this way? My family moved here when I was a kid. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. Crime rate is something to consider -Cerritos sits at 250.8 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. Is this normal for Cerritos? Thanks in advance! The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 13 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want dating scene, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
