Is Cerritos worth it salary-wise?

Hey folks, I grew up here but left for a while. It's a a smaller city city with about 48,340 people. Household incomes average around $133,953 in Cerritos. Median household income is $133,953, which feels pretty solid for the area. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Thoughts? Any help is appreciated. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Atlanta it's better than expected.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in East. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Maple Ridge. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in engineering. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
