Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm single, late 50s, and Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Has anyone dealt with this? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is dating scene. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 10 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is solid.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Hope this helps!.

I work in legal here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is better than expected. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.
