Healthcare options in Chamblee?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a 27-year-old accountant and Homes are going for about $407,900 on average. The median home value here is around $407,900, which is pretty steep. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Any advice would be great. Appreciate any input. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a teacher, 47, moved here 9 years ago from Minneapolis. I've lived in Fairview and Greenfield, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Friendly community, easy to meet people
3. Good healthcare facilities
4. The people are generally decent - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Homeless population growing downtown
2. Far from beaches/mountains
3. The nightlife situation is competitive and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Fairview: Great for young professionals. average vibes, walkable.
- Greenfield: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Minneapolis, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are established. Gas is stable. You can live comfortably on $40K-$80K here.

**Final verdict:**
Would recommend to anyone considering it.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

I work in education here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is better than expected. Hope this helps!.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much reasonable but now it's challenging.
