Is Chamblee good for remote workers?

Born and raised here. You can expect to pay around $1,775 for rent here. With a population of 30,369, Chamblee is a smaller city. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What do you all think? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I've lived in Westside for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- The food scene scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I work in marketing here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is average. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 8 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely average and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (West) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Chicago, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
