I'm single, late 30s, and Homes are going for about $199,700 on average. Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Used to live on the Uptown side, now on the Pine Hills side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is excellent in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Denver about 1 years ago. The main reasons were family and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is better than expected.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
