Is Champlin getting better or worse?

OK so I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Homes are going for about $338,400 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Champlin sits at 97.5 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What do you all think? Cheers. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Used to live on the Lakewood side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 15 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The school system is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Chicago it's surprisingly good.

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.
