Best and worst neighborhoods in Chanhassen

I'm originally from Miami and It's a a smaller city city with about 26,001 people. Median household income is $138,034, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $530,700 on average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Low crime in most areas
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Limited nightlife
- Sprawl everywhere
- Not very walkable
- High property taxes
- Poor road conditions
Am I overthinking this? The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I've lived in Greenfield for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good airport with direct flights
- The school system scene is tough

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- The cultural scene scene is tough

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Highland for 13 years. Moved from San Francisco for cost of living. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is pretty good. We bought in 2017 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
construction is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I have mixed feelings honestly. The outdoor scene is average - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Highland schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not very walkable outside downtown. Limited shopping options. And cost of living can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 8/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
