Best neighborhoods to rent in Chanhassen?

Curious what people think. Crime rate is something to consider -Chanhassen sits at 48.8 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 26,001 people. Homes are going for about $530,700 on average. With a population of 26,001, Chanhassen is a smaller city. Median household income is $138,034, which feels pretty solid for the area. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Good schools
- Easy commute
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Sprawl everywhere
- High property taxes
- Poor road conditions
Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks for reading. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Riverside. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in retail. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
