Hey everyone, I've been here for 5 years and With a population of 26,001, Chanhassen is a smaller city. It's a a smaller city city with about 26,001 people. Homes are going for about $530,700 on average. The unemployment rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Any advice would be great. Cheers. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Dallas about 2 years ago. The main reasons were work and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is challenging.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Happy to answer more specific questions..
