Alright, I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $530,700 on average. Poverty rate is 2.1%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in Cedar Grove area are hit or miss. Kids love it here.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Denver it's improving.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Good luck with whatever you decide..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is solid in most areas.

I work in education here and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The job market for my field is excellent. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a real estate agent, 45, moved here 11 years ago from San Diego. I've lived in Old Town and East, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Affordable housing options
3. Good airport with direct flights
4. The people are generally solid - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Not very walkable outside downtown
2. Limited high-paying job options
3. The pet-friendliness situation is developing and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Old Town: Great for retirees. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- East: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from San Diego, everything felt tough. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is pricey. You can live comfortably on $40K-$120K here.
**Final verdict:**
Happy to answer more specific questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
