So, I'm single, late 50s, and The median home value here is around $633,900, which is pretty steep. With a population of 23,744, Chantilly is a small town. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Uptown. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in legal. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
