Hello, I relocated for work and Homes are going for about $576,500 on average. Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. Crime rate is something to consider -Chapel Hill sits at 94.4 per 100K. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What are your go-to spots? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Old Town area are improving. Kids love it here.
