Couple moving to Chapel Hill from out of state
Hi all, I'm a teacher here and Household incomes average around $85,825 in Chapel Hill. With a population of 59,889, Chapel Hill is a smaller city. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I wrong here? Cheers. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
