What's it really like living in Chapel Hill?

Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Am I wrong here? The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor recreation is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much manageable but now it's underrated.
