Hey, Median household income is $90,038, which feels pretty solid for the area. Rent is about $1,632/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 6.3%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What would you do? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Riverside. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in retail. If you're in tech you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like seafood.
No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much established but now it's excellent.
