Moving to Charleston for work — advice?

Hey, I'm a remote worker and Average temperature is around 67°F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $469,100 on average. Rent is about $1,632/month for a decent place. With a population of 152K, Charleston is a mid-size city. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Is this normal for Charleston? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much reasonable but now it's improving.

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.
