OK so The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Lakewood. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
