Curious what people think. I'm retired and The unemployment rate is 4.2%, which is about average. The median home value here is around $351,800, which seems about average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Does this match your experience? Cheers. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The housing market is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in West for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The traffic scene is average
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
