Working remotely from Charlotte — my experience

I've been working remotely from Charlotte for 1 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: pretty reasonable
Internet: Could be better but workable with a good provider
Coworking spaces: Growing number of options

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Charlotte is underrated for remote workers.

Totally agree with this. I've been here 15 years and my experience is very similar.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Downtown and Highland Park are perfectly safe.

Coming from Dallas, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are cheaper.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is the west side tends to be more affordable. Makes a big difference.

The job market has been improving lately. Several education companies moved in recently.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

I've lived in Midtown for 13 years and it's a hidden gem honestly.
