Hey folks, I'm a 44-year-old sales rep and Household incomes average around $69,829 in Charlottesville. It's a a smaller city city with about 45,863 people. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Thoughts? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
