Pros and cons of Chaska after 12 years

Crime rate is something to consider -Chaska sits at 59.0 per 100K. Homes are going for about $379,400 on average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What neighborhoods would you suggest? TIA! Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely decent and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (West) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
