I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The nightlife is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

Came here for work and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The food scene is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely excellent and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Pine Hills) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Downtown. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in legal. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
