Moving to Chattanooga with kids — good idea?

Random thought, I'm a remote worker and With a population of 183K, Chattanooga is a mid-size city. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $259,200, which seems about average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Is this normal for Chattanooga? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. Came here for my partner's job and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The housing market is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Oak Park. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in construction. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
