Top 5 things I love about Cheney

Alright, We have two kids and It's a a small town city with about 12,830 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Cheney sits at 308.7 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 8.1%, which is concerning. Rent is about $1,075/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Pros:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Plenty of shopping options
- Active local events

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Cold winters
- Not very walkable
- Boring for young people
Am I overthinking this? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Bought a house here in 2016 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much affordable but now it's underrated.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in South for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The housing market scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Good luck with whatever you decide..
