Median household income is $66,625, which feels about average for the area. Household incomes average around $66,625 in Chenoa. It's a a small town city with about 1,559 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Nice parks and trails
- Low taxes
- Lots of new development
- Strong sense of community

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Limited nightlife
- Lack of diversity
- Few job opportunities in some fields

Am I wrong here? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value nightlife, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely hit or miss and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Raleigh, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
