Remote worker thinking about Cherokee Village

Hello, I'm a college student here and Poverty rate is 16.4%, which is higher than I expected. Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Cedar Grove. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Hope this helps!.
