Hi all, Poverty rate is 7.3%, which is pretty low. With a population of 14,827, Cherry Hill Mall is a small town. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Thoughts? The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Meadowbrook. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Mexican.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to San Diego it's decent.
