Anyone work in healthcare in Cherryland?

Longtime lurker here, Household incomes average around $84,858 in Cherryland. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Old Town. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like sushi.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Used to live on the Pine Hills side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Cedar Grove. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

The food scene here is tough. Tons of great seafood places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
