Is Chester still affordable?

Hey everyone, I work in manufacturing and Median household income is $41,231, which feels on the lower side for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Chester sits at 1,527.6 per 100K. Household incomes average around $41,231 in Chester. Poverty rate is 24.6%, which is higher than I expected. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Anyone in a similar situation? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
