Hey folks, I'm a college student here and Poverty rate is 8.4%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 14,326 people. Household incomes average around $88,536 in Chesterton. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up.
