Best kept secrets of Chevy Chase, MD

Anyone else feel this way? My partner and I are Median household income is $213,764, which feels pretty solid for the area. With a population of 9,484, Chevy Chase is a small town. You can expect to pay around $3,264 for rent here. Rent is about $3,264/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What would you do? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 13 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into running, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
