Career opportunities in Cheyenne, WY

Alright, Crime rate is something to consider -Cheyenne sits at 341.1 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 2.0%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What would you do? The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Bought a house here in 2016 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Raleigh about 15 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Active local events and festivals
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
