Raising a family in Cheyenne -thoughts?
Anyone else feel this way? My family moved here when I was a kid. Average temperature is around 47--F, so expect cold winters. You can expect to pay around $1,035 for rent here. With a population of 64,976, Cheyenne is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $311,200 on average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to.
