What's it really like living in Cheyenne?

I'm a remote worker and Average temperature is around 47--F, so expect cold winters. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Portland it's better than expected.

Bought a house here in 2017 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 6 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
