Unpopular opinion about Chicago Heights

Alright, Born and raised here. Crime rate is something to consider -Chicago Heights sits at 773.6 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,035 for rent here. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. Rent is about $1,035/month for a decent place. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Great weather
- Good job market
- Strong sense of community
- Walkable downtown

Cons:
- Limited dining options
- High property taxes
- Lack of diversity
- Not enough green space
Am I overthinking this? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Used to live on the Eastside side, now on the Downtown side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.
